Being collaborative through negotiation
Today it was a busy morning, final exams of the summer semester are starting and we are all nervous. When I was arriving to school I had agreed with one of my fellow partners to review for our negotiation exam, as funny as it was we had to enter into a negotiation debate in order to see where we were going to meet, she wanted to got to place A because it has better food and I wanted to go to place B because it has internet. As we started, we said to each other the benefits of each place, Place A, following her words was more quiet, had air conditioning and a nice mid-day lunch menu, place B is more expensive and the food is always the same but it has a terrace and internet to be able to do our online readings. At the end we tried to find a win-win situation through a collaborative agreement, we were going to place B, but weren't eating, we will just have a coffee and study, after class we were going to sit down in place C (new middle place) to have a nice relaxing lunch.
